Jennifer Nixon

Family Law Attorney

Jennifer Nixon decided at a young age to pursue a career in the law. Often telling friends and family that she wanted to be a divorce attorney.

After earning her degree in Criminology and Political Science from the University of Minnesota-Duluth, she graduated from William Mitchell College of Law, where she worked as a research assistant for the Dean of the college.

Jennifer brings energy and compassion to her work, assisting clients with their personal matters, including family law.

She is a trained member of the Collaborative Law Institute, helping clients divorce with dignity and respect. Jennifer is actively involved in the Collaborative Law Institute, including serving as a board member beginning in 2015.

Where the collaborative process is not the right fit for clients, she provides advocacy through a court-based process. Jennifer listens to her clients to provide an individualized approach that best fits her clients’ goals and addresses their concerns.

Outside the office, Jennifer can be found baking cupcakes and desserts to share with friends and family, or trying her skills on a boxing bag in an attempt to balance out those desserts. Jennifer lives in Plymouth with her husband and their rescue cat.
